In a career spanning three decades, Greg Ptacek has spearheaded communications and public relations campaigns for some of the world’s best know brands, including Disney, Microsoft, Warner Media, HP and Priceline.
He began his communications career as a journalist, writing dozens of articles for trade, business and consumer press. He also is an award-winning nonfiction book author with seven titles published by major imprints includling Random House, William Morrow, Simon & Schuster and Wiley & Sons.
As the Director of the Motion Picture Group for Rogers & Cowan Public Relations, he pioneered initiatives where Silicon Valley intersected with Hollywood. He led a team that created award-winning campaigns, using entertainment strategies including celebrity endorsements to drive consumer interest in high-tech consumer products.
As the head of comunications for the American Film Market, he supervised all aspects of media relations for the world’s largest b-2-b film industry event.
He holds a Master’s degree from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California (USC), where he teaches a course on strategic PR.
